Global Liver Institute CEO To Speak at Astellas 2017 Patient Advocacy Summit Today

Donna Cryer Set to Deliver ‘Lesson Learned’ Speech on the Power of Mentoring

Washington, DC –  Global Liver Institute CEO, Donna Cryer, is scheduled to deliver a speech, “Lessons Learned: The Power of Mentoring,” today at the Astellas 2017 Patient Advocacy Summit at the Westin DC City Center.  This year’s Astellas 2017 Patient Advocacy Summit will focus on how advocates can hear the patient voice in healthcare and will bring together more than 120 advocates from a variety of professions.

Cryer joins Pat Furlong, Founding President and CEO, Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, Sandhya Pruthi, M.D., Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, and Eva Maria Ruiz de Castilla, Ph.D., Regional Director, Latin America, Global Alliance for Patient Access for the summit’s ‘lesson learned’ sessions that will examine best practice examples of patient advocacy in drug development, shared decision making in healthcare, patient advocacy in Latin America and the power of mentoring.

The summit will also be anchored by three panel discussions, debating patient-focused drug development, patient delivery models and the evolving quality measures which focus on patient outcomes.
